K-town super frog: requires explanation

reply

It was the working title. K-Town is shortened from Koreatown in Los Angeles where several of the scenes were shot. Superfrog has something to do with how the principle lead character dances in the night clubs, kind of like a frog.

I think it's also to do with 'Superfrog Saves Tokyo', another story from the same collection.

I read the book in my foreign lit class, it's from a collection of Japanese short stories written following the big Kobe Earthquake of 1996. Fittingly, the book is called "After the Quake".

There's some weird stories. This one is definitely the most normal. Unlike the Japanese businessman recruited by super frog to fight a giant worm that stalks to the Tokyo subways which causes earthquakes.

_IF_ I recall correctly, it's about some kinda loser guy coming to terms with his life, his lack of a father growing up, his super hot mom, and her recent discovery of and zeal for Christianity.

The story is about some guy who was grown up to believe that he was quite literally the son of God, and he loses his faith in Christianity completely and starts following some man he believes could be his real life father.

You think so? What about Honey Pie? Or the one with the girl and the old guy on the beach? I think of all the stories this is the least coherent.. assuming of course you read 'After the Quake' as well.
