Anyone else get pissed when...

The mom was just talking to the kids at the playground and they arrested her...they treated her like a f'in child molester or some sht...wtf was up with that i felt so sorry for her then she had a loss and she just loves children i dont see the harm in an adult playing with kids at the playground if there is no ill intent...what did you guys think?...

really? been a minute since I watched it now, but I thought I remembered her son picking her up from the police station...

Unfortunately it's human nature these days, the other parents don't know about her loss and to them she's some strange lady going up to all the kids.
I found that scene hard to watch as I just felt so bad for her and it made me think of how we simply judge people by what they do and often have no idea of the story behind their actions.

i hope you're joking. having a "loss" doesn't entitle anyone to harass kids in a playground, which she was pretty clearly doing. in manhattan playgrounds the standard is a lot lower - if you loiter in one without a child of your own for more than a cursory amount of time police will approach you and ask you to leave.

the childless have no business in playgrounds, their exile is proper.

Yes, it was frustrating but this kind of thing has become a sad reality today. This is probably because things like child abuse, child pornography etc are becoming more common knowledge and all over the news etc every day. Parents get scared even when someone smiles back at their child. And how was she harrassing children?

I'm guessing for the sake of the running time, they had to rush this scene. It did make the other parents look paranoid and mean-spirited. Julia did nothing wrong, she was just being friendly and attentive. Perhaps the other parents felt challenged because Julia was being more mothering than the actual mothers?
