Validity

This sounds like the researchers really did their homework, and the explanations were so well put together one cant help be compelled by the arguments made...

Any one have any problems with the validity of some of the claims?

Even though I don't believe in an all mighty God, this show proved that the Bible has some truth to it as do most ancient texts.

my only bones is with the mycanae civilisation that traded with egypt; earlier in the documentary they said that they traded heavily with egypt and then surprise surprise they find egyptian gold on the island. I mean duh, it wasn't necessarily brought their by the jewish diaspora, it could have been the result of the heavy trade that they themselves mentioned earlier. I don't know how valid this documentary is, but I sure did spot some big holes in it. Sure, it was entertaining, but I doubt that the tenous links they provide can't be as conclusive as they hold it to be. I guess my mind would be at ease if an actual achaelogist looked into this instead of an investigative journalist that is more interested in proving a thesis than looking objectively at the facts. With that said, I thoroughly enjoyed the explanations for the ten plagues.

what big holes did you spot? as for finding egypting gold on the island it works both ways. they also found mycanae (sp?) artifacts in the city, forgot name that was occupied by jews (where they found the stuff that said Jacob on it).

reply

yes the gold isn't the big plot hole, but they explicitly suggested in the documentary that it was the result of the jewish diaspora to the Island that brought these golds, not the heavy trade link that they themselves mentioned earlier in the documentary. Therefore the conclusively say that the jewish refugees were the one that brought the gold to the island is a fallacy in logic. that constitutes a pretty big plot hole.
