I know that she is supposed to be the way she is, but seeing it on screen makes it so much more annoying! She needs to keep her nose out of everyone's business!

Having a soft spot for Patricia Routledge is something we share - I love her in everything!
She was a bit young, perhaps, for Mrs. Jennings, but her performance is the life of the 1971 mini-series, for sure.

No, I am quite fond of both she and her son-in-law. Yes, they tend to get into everybody's business and are somewhat relentless in their teasing, but they are kind-hearted and so funny that I can forgive them their short-comings.
