Why the greek gods and Kratos are retarded...

everything could have been fixed if they had just given him his wife and kids back.... Kratos is retarded because he could go anywhere back in time to any event and instead of doing the easy thing of saving his family he decides everything would be better if he went back to get the titans bring them back to the future and try to kill all of the greek gods also while being oblivious to the fact that every important partially sane character in the game is telling him that the titans are using him like a puppet..im sorry i love the game but really??

If I am not mistaken Kratos probably meets his wife after the Gods defeated the Titans. SO if he kills he Gods first them Ares will have no power over Kratos.

but lets be fair kratos does not h ave much of a brain and he always seems hell bent on revenge he doesnt look to the simplistic side of things he just has one thing on his mind permantley REVENGE

He's a Spartan for cryin' out loud. They were taught: Have a problem? Kill it. I think 300 had it pretty well sorted out. Family wasn't high on the list of motivations to the Spartans. And then again... it was. Complex creatures, Spartans.

Plus, you would have thought after all that time as a god, Kratos would have tried to use his godly powers to ressurect them if he could. Anyway, some things in the plot are let go, since its just a game. Perhaps Kratos really is that blind. Blind enough to accidentally kill his family to begin with. Let's face it, his wife and daughter maybe didn't mean that much to him after all. Maybe he figures they're safe in the Ellysian Fields. (However that's spelled). He might even be thinking that if he did bring them back, he'd just screw up their lives again.

Now I KNOW I'm thinking about this way too much...

No no no my dear good friend ... please ... Do Continue Your Explanations ... You are never thinking too much when you're always right and not exagerrating ...

While I don't consider the God of War storyline being qualified as Great ... i do like the fact that things "does makes sense" in a way ... and that the game's characters and situations are always there to represent Kratos or his past and personality ... I give points for that ... but so far the game just hasn't hit on the spot yet , maybe when we get to see a PS2 or PS3 port of Chains Of Olympus i will finally appreciate its latest storyline ...

BUT Please ... do continue if you have more ideas to express ... i was very surprised to see that people who have things to say on the storyline is not on Gaming Forums but on IMDB ... which is not even suppose to lists games ... lol ...

Back on Topic : ... Well honestly ... if Kratos was that smart ... there wouldn't have been a game for us now will there ? ... but then again , it does fall in the reason why i don't like the storyline so much ... poor writting ... but still , good ideas ... The Bests Comes Lasts i guess ...

I always wondered why he never messed with time to go back and save his family, but after playing Chains of Olympus I can kind of see why and come up with some kind of reason. [spoilers]If he never had killed his family by accident because of Ares' meddling and became "the Ghost of Sparta" the entire world in CoO would have been destroyed because there would have been no one to stop the goddess Persephone and Atlas from destroying the pillar that holds the world. That also explained why Atlas hates Kratos.[/spoilers] Kratos is smarter than he acts....he probably knew that the only way he could stop Zeus and not **** up the fabric of time that much at the moment was to go back to the exact moment he was killed.

As for the whole travelling back in time to get the Titans before they were imprisoned by the gods, well I assume that after accidently killing Athena, he didn't care much what happened and was blinded full on by his rage.

reply

if he saved the titans to begin with shouldnt he have lost his powers because Ares wouldnt have been in charge... im just throwing speculation out of my ass right now

reply

The Titans didn't win the war, Kratos just brought them to the present. Because there were weaker now because he killed Ares and Athena.

So you guys want Kratos to let Zeus go even though he was trying to kill him, thats really smart.

reply

The power of a god in mythology is limited by the other gods. Kratos might like to see his family again, but Hades might not allow it.

reply

zeus and stuff wouldn't just let him walk into the sunset like that. they'd know what he did somehow and come for him.
