Question about Kit's dad...
I saw this movie on cable but could not make it to the end. I missed the last half hour. Kit typed letter to her dad and asked why he never wrote her anymore, or something like that. What happened to her dad?
shareHe comes home in time for Thanksgiving at the end of the movie, smothers his girls in kisses, but is still jobless.
shareHe tells Kit that the reason he stopped writing to her was that there was no good news to report so he figured it was better not to write at all.
shareHe couldn't find work and he tells Kit the reason he stopped writing was, "It was like that old car, I was letting it beat me". So instead of letting it beat him, he finally decided it was best all around to return to his home and to his loved ones to look for work.
