Miss Bond and Mr. Berk

I was really interested in this movie due to the adults' performances, particularly Joan Cusack and Stanley Tucci (and Jane Krakowski, who was way underused). I was really surprised by the end of the movie not because (SPOILERSPOILERSPOILER!!!) the Berks were the thieves and Miss Bond was their accomplice, but mainly because (SPOILERSPOILERSPOILER!!!) Mr. Berk and Miss Bond were in some kind of a relationship?! I was very amused by that.

And it got me thinking. Obviously Miss Bond is a little off (not quite "ditzy", but there's certainly a few screws loose), but I really loved how she came clean at the end and turned them in. Watching the way those two interact around each other is quite fun once you learn that they were together, and the little looks that they give one another are much easier to understand. I was wondering, how do you think Miss Bond got mixed up with the two magicians? She seems like a kind lady, what with her initial reactions to the fact that they were now taking the money as well as the belongings. And how do you think that she and Mr. Berk started a relationship, of all things?

I'd just like to hear some other opinions. :)

When I watched this, I did love their interactions but I was surprised they actually had a 'thing' going on. Although I'm not sure how they would have begun such a relationship.
