Meaning of Skittles

Lee Carter uses the term "Skittles" in the film. I'm aware of its meaning and origin as in "Life is not all beer and skittles."

So, is Lee using this term to mean "cool" or "brilliant"?
Is this a common expression when used alone in this manner, or is there some other more modern slang application?

he says "skill", turn on the subtitles. But skill means awesome.

he's saying "skills" and "skill"

Basically means "good" in this context.
