The film will be shown in England on ITV in 2007 as part of their Jane Austen season, and in the US on PBS' Masterpiece Theatre in November 2007 as part of the Jane Austen Festival.

Interesting there is no mention of Frederick Tilney in the cast listing. Not sure how one aspect of the plot will proceed without this character (she says trying hard not to spoil things for those unfamiliar with the plot).

Perhaps he'll be treated as a very minor character in this adaptation?

So glad to get a heads up on these two projects. I look forward to future posts that bring us more information. NA is a book by Austen I've only read once because I couldn't get excited about it. Maybe this effort will bring it a bit more to life and re-energize me to read the book again. Thanks.

Here's an excellent website that's got lots of NA2 info, including a cast list with pictures of the actors!!! Kudos to 'Solitary Elegance' for this:

JJ Feild would make a great Henry Tilney. He has a minor role in "Nicholas Nickleby" (starring James D'Arcy) but should give everyone an idea of how he looks in period costume. Felicity Jones is perfectly cast and just the right age.

Apparently Mark Dymond is confirmed as Frederick Tilney. Haven't seen him in anything, but I like the photos on his IMDb page. Lucky Carey Mulligan!
