Will we ever get a half way decent Star Trek Video Game?? I gave this 5 solid hours of game play and I'm still just as confused as the second I started. How about a better tutorial? SHameful effort in this crap game. The only reason I gave it as much time as I did is because it had the Star Trek Name.

Klingon Academy is another good game, but most of the trek games suck now.
I think that overall this was a generally good game. Unless you count the stupid options they gave you. You only use the long range scanners and the transporters a couple of times. The same goes for many of the really cool things that could have gone to much better use, had they put a little more time in.
What is this other game Weyoun 4? When did it come out? That sort of thing.

'A' button hold down to get the options: dock, hail, scan, tractor beam and transport. Then tap 'A' to select one. To target enemy systems wait tell your close to a enemy ship. Hold down the Right Bumper select a target. Now the screen will give you the option to target sub system. Push Down on your Right Toggle this turns it on. As your battling you'll see 4 icons in a crosshair pattern. Push your 'D' pad in the desired direction you wish to target. Have fun!!! Right Trigger fires eather disruptors or phasers. Left Trigger fires Photon Torpedoes (not all ships have this feature just like the show). To Repair Damage to your vessel Hold Down you Left Bumper, then select all energy to engines icon, ( this has horizontal slashes and a shape like Saturn in the middle). Press the 'Back' Button to bring up the map. Use your Right Toggle to pick a target. Hold down 'A' Button to Order All Ships to target the same spot. Hit 'Y' to Warp there. If
shareIf you have Romulan or Klingon vessels you can also Cloak. Hold down Left Bumper + X to Cloak. Dispite what many say using sensors is invaluable against enemies. Especially ones popping in and out of cloak. Hit the 'Back' Button to select the Space Sector Map now hit Left Bumper + B to scan. Now stare...use your Right Toggle to navigate the sector. Beware though nebulas will interfer with ships sensors. Close range fighting sensors are not necessary of coarse.
shareNext subject how to Auto Self Distruct. This option I use very rarely as a last ditch manuver. It will only work if your enemies shields are down and their almost as destroyed as you are; then by all means use it. To Self Distruct Hold Down Left Bumper + Y. In Campaign Mode Pressing 'X' will bring up Your Current Objective you need to accomplish. To carry it out simply look at your Space Sector Map to find out were you have to go and warp there. How to make photon torpedoes effective: Hold down your Right Bumper to target enemies. Use your Phasers the Right Trigger until you drop their shields. Subsystem targeting will help in this (as discussed earlier). Then Hold down your Right Bumper to target lock. Wait tell the bracket arround the enemy ship turns red just like a jet. Then fire at will. To some this all may sound complicated but trust me practice makes perfect. Before you know it you'll be doing this in your sleep. This game rules once you get it. Patience is a virtue. Again have fun.

Do to their geometric shapes the Borg vessel has no point that is the front, it will move horizontal (left to right, forward to back), vertical (up & down) depending on where you aim your white crosshairs in the center of your screen. To Line Up Your Target in the Crosshairs simply use your Right Toggle. To move in
a certain direction that you have you chosen put in your crosshairs and Push 'A'. Look at that... Good job your moving where you wish to go. How to Maximize Tactical Borg Cubes. Allocate All Power to the Shields you will become crazy nuts
Powerful. Now once the enemy ship has drained itself of energy to phasers Transfer All Power to Weapons and use your 4 green Borg enhanced phasers to very quickly drain their shields. Now finish them off with 4 photon torpedoes. Let um fly baby... That's the fun part. How to Allocate Power: Hold Down 'X' Button use Left Toggle to move to 1of 3 choices. Full Power To Engines (quick repairs or move faster), Full Power To Shields (decreases enemy damage) and Full Power To Weapons (increases phaser effectiveness on enemy shields).
*Warning dropping shields to divert all power to phasers can be very dangerous. Not recommended if your all ready badly damaged.
