I just got done watching the movie and...

I thought it was AWESOME! This movie had everything that I look for in a horror/thiller flim and then some. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time...WOW! This movie is thrill ride!

It was definitely intense. I loved Arkins character, thought he played it rather well. Disturbingly gore-filled though lol

My adrenaline was still high for a while after the movie ended! That was a really intense time for me; I was enjoying the movie yet was a torture to watch at the same tine. I agree it had everything a horror film should have. The best I've seen in a while.

I don't know why, but I also loved it. Something about it just clicked, I was hooked, and I enjoyed every minute of it. I'm excited to see more.

Oh, take a gander the bigger they are the harder they fall.

I loved it too. It left me with an eerie feeling after watching the movie. Scared me really. (also the fact that an exterminator will be coming to our house this week :D)

dispite the poor acting at some points... the beginning I was thinking wow this is going to be terrible I accualy quite enjoyed it... wasn't amazing but did very much like it. I Hope the sequel will be equally as good.

I just watched this movie and I must say it is not that great. It is an unoriginal story with the same old writing of the Saw films. With movies like this it's about the gore and the blood rather than story consistency and context and anyone can write these type of films. I guess it does appeal to a certain audience and good for them but I'm not a fan. I am a fan of horror indeed but I miss the gory, bloody horror films that also had some story behind it. I guess they tried when they focused on the thieves family and trying to paint him as a guy who is good but just has little choices but still just... yawn.

We'll see if the sequel has some depth and better explanations but most likely it will be just like the other Saw movies and the gore and blood with be turned up and just as unoriginal. Hopefully I am wrong but I doubt it.

Going in I expected very little, so I'm just glad that I stuck with it because it really was a nice, suspenseful piece of modern horror. Now, it may not be completely original, but it felt authentic in a way that many modern horror flicks simply don't anymore. I thought the direction and cinematography were fantastic and the acting was above average for the genre. As gruesome as they were, some of those traps were absolutely ingenious and the villain quite the ghoulish delight. This is a great watch for any fan of psychologial horror while still delivering enough gore to satisfy the more hardcore fan base. The scene with the cat was disturbing, but obviously exaggerated to convey it's gratuitousness. Overall, I would call this a successful effort for the makers as well as the audience.

The main title sequence is virtually identical to the one for American Horror Story.

I was thinking they were ripping off "Se7en" during the opening sequence, but I can see your point too. Lol.

Just finished watching and definitely one of the best horror movies I've seen in a very long time. Intense, edge of your seat type of movie. Loved everything about it. The atmosphere and music, the acting, the killer, the gore, the traps, everything was just exactly what I look for in a movie.

So happy to know The Collection (sequel) is coming very soon!

It's a fun film-a cheap, short slasher flick with inventive traps/gore scenes and extremely good acting (for this kind of movie). That being said, by conventional film standards, it's not TOO good, maybe a 5/10, 6/10 on a generous day, but I think if anyone went into this film expecting more than what it offers, they'd be dissapointed. Highly recommended for slasher buffs.
