Better than the 2011 film: Sleaping Beauty

While the subject matter is similar, the 2011 film is more from the perspective of the woman who is sleeping with the men, rather than this film, which is from the man's perspective. House of the Sleeping Beauties goes much deeper into the psychology and struggle of the old man, Edmund.

Can't agree with that. Sleeping Beauty (2011) was much better. After watching Sleeping Beauty I was delighted to learn that there is a movie that depicts this intriguing business from the male perspective. And House of the Sleeping Beauties (2006) clearly addresses the struggles of old men. But unfortunately it wasn't enough. The movie just lacked any kind of edge and tension that one would expect to see in such situations. It was just a long meditation on god knows what. Like some Terrence Malick movie, but without any emotional impact.
