This movie is great, establishes a very unique look and feel.
But then that same vulture sound appears over and over,
heard in a million movies.
It's like trying to enter a foreign world, no man has gone before.
Then that same, familar dam bird appears and you're cut out of the illusion
Haven't noticed but I know what you mean :D It is because audio directors of movies are usually so lazy they can not record their own sounds/materials so they use everything in public domain which hollywood itself overused it millions of times. And it to blame is Imaginary Property which forbids people using and sharing of specific ideas and patterns.
But still, most of the blame is due to laziness of audio engineers and composers.
