a more understated moment of Pam's that I love

In early Season 7, when Pam is searching for Eric, and she refuses to feed off the little girl. Because I feel like with how Pam is portrayed over the course of the series, we're initially meant to either expect her to feed, or at the very least not be overly surprised if she does, as she's brutal and has few she cares for. Especially given that the girl's parents are more than willing, and it would have been business, and she'd not have killed the girl.

I think a lot of people underestimated Pam.

That scene wasn't exactly a surprise for me because even though she protects herself with sarcasm, you can tell she feels a lot more than she allows herself to show.
She draws a line at feeding off a kid because she's obviously had a history of abuse and was probably sold off to a whore house early in her life and what those parents are doign to their kid is no better than this.

She doesn't mind feeding off unwilling humans (although we never saw her feed off anyone who wasn't willing) but a kid who's being "whored out" by her parents for money to vampires... too close to home.

This! The entire point of Pam is that she does protect herself with that rough and sarcastic exterior. Underneath it all...she did care. And if she were real...she'd find me and probably slap me a few times just for posting such a thing, but it's true.

And I'll edit this post just to say that Pam was probably THE best character this show had in its entire run. She was consistent to the very end.
