Thoughts on Sarah Newlin's fate

Took me a while but I finally decided to watch the final season of True Blood, and was thinking about the final scene with Sarah in the Fangtasia dungeon. Has Sarah been chained up in there the whole time? Do they take her down to eat, or could V be sustaining her all this time? Opinions?

This whole scene was stuck on at the last minute after Skarsgard had left the set to film Tarzan .Kristin Bauer Von Straten said she thought they were done but they called her back in to do this scene. It doesn't make any sense at all. First of all why would Eric and Pam be beck at Fangtasia? They are billionaires and the whole reason they were stuck there to begin with is over. Pan hated Shreveport and Eric has every reason to not want to be there ( Sookie has moved on with her life) . The second reason is why take Sarah with them.? Eric is into the swift and sure justice type of retribution. It's not his style to torment someone endlessly. They don't need the money and it's dangerous to dangle a carrot the size of this one in front of vampires. What is to stop another more powerful vampire from stealing her. Or even a gang of less powerful vampires. They have to sleep during the day. Is Ginger going to watch Sarah. Other vampires could hire humans to take her during the day. Is Eric going to hire a whole slew of human bodyguard to prevent a kidnapping? If so,she's not worth the trouble. As long as she exists his business of making New Blood is in danger. Someone else gets her and they can set themselves up in business to compete with him. It's a ridiculous idea. Muchlike the rest of the ideas that pepper season 7.

Thank you for all that info. I have not seen the last few seasons.

That does not sound like something Eric would do...

yeah, agreed on all of that.

one other thought is, despite all that sarah had done, I felt sorry for her, too. she was down there, losing her mind, chained up and used as a vampire cure. a very cruel and horrifying reality, for anybody.

I pointed out to my sister that her hair was so nice, which didn't seem realistic. But my sister pointed out that Pam most likely kept her looking nice for the clients. To me, it makes sense that they'd keep her fed too.

Sarah had been chained up there the whole time. She is kept alive as a source for the vampire disease cure. I suspect, once she has literally outlived her usefulness, she will be killed. I could not see ANY self-respecting vampire turning her into one of them.
