Does anyone know if/when there will be a DVD release of Midnight Sun with english subtitles? They've already released in Japan, Singapore, and soon Hong Kong. When will it be released in the US? If anyone knows, please e-mail me at [email protected].

I just passed through Tokyo and the Japanese release of the DVD has English subtitles.

Are you sure it wasn't the Region 3 HongKong release?Not very likely since it was in a Tower Records store in Japan, the DVD stated it was region 2, all the printing was in Japanese, it was NTSC, and all the style was consistent with Japanese releases, the price on the back was printed in yen. The fact that I know it had English subtitles was that I read the Japanese word for this in the subtitles info box on the back.

The Singapore DVD release will come with optional English and Simplified Chinese Subtitles.
The VCD version will also carry both subtitles.
Tentative streetdate is 2nd week of February 2007.
Dunno about an American release, but the HK DVD is out, with English subs, and readily available.
