Did Bang Bang really die?
It seemed kinda like she set it up that way with the ring ring hand gesture. Thoughts?

As Bang Bang moves to her car a large truck passes between the camera (Bloom's pov) and Bang Bang, obscuring our view. She may well have grabbed on to the side of the truck, as suddenly vanishing is one of her many skills. While Stephen was willing to risk losing his life in a con out of brotherly love, I don't see him putting Bang Bang at risk. I think she may very well have never gotten in the car. That said, she is never seen again. It is clearly left up in the air.
The garbage truck blocks your view so you never see her get into the car.
I agree with Pequod that it could go either way. Since Stephen's death was real and he only pretended it was part of a con, it's equally plausible that Bang Bang's death was also real (but Stephen never put her at risk; he was pretty much powerless once he was kidnapped).
When Bloom tells Stephen about the car bomb, Stephen could either think she faked her own death, OR realize that she had possibly been outsmarted by the Russians (just like himself), but played along as if it were all a part of the master plan, to keep Bloom believing in it.
Frankly, I think we're meant to question it, and there is no definitive answer. I assumed Bang Bang faked her death at first, but once I realized Stephen had been killed for real, it seemed very possible that she had as well.
The war is not meant to be won... it is meant to be continuous.
There are many rumors.
Her body was never recovered.
Some say she married a trucker.
Others claim she won a million dollars in a karaoke contest and bought a pirate ship in the South Pacific.
Yet others claim - to this very day - that they have found themselves suddenly startled out of a deep trance - with the distinct, unsettling sensation of having their fingers sniffed.
I think so.
Boycott movies that involve real animal violence! (and their directors too)
No, she faked her death.
But later on she saw "Fargo," assumed it to be a true story, and traveled to North Dakota to search for the money Steve Buscemi buries in the snow.

I don't think she did. She carefully orchestrated her fake death, but I think she just disappeared from Bloom's life as was most likely discussed by Stephen and herself.
