Contrived Bulls**t.

pretentious timewaster

and it is a shame that this film, unlike any other film, is a time waster. you could have been doing so much more important things with your time. such as watching a different movie. and watching a different movie wouldn't be a waste of time at all. yeah you're doing a lot of productive things with your life

reply

haha I agree, nice line but in my case I would say that to the OP

complete tosspot.

its so strange that a movie would seem contrived. as if they sat down and planned the whole thing out. like they decided on a story and plot and chose to have people act out said plot and put it on film. what will filmmakers think of next

You either love it or hate it basically. Its a tough style and tone but I think he nailed it, plus the characters (all top notch performances) really add to the whole picture. On the same note I think its only a matter of time until this Rian Johnson youngster gets a hit blockbuster. He's 2 for 2 so far in my book

Brilliantly executed.

Seriously, I love movies that mess with my mind and keep me guessing and MAKE ME THINK. Not everyone's cup o' tea, that, but it certainly was mine.

Beautiful Knots.

It reminds me of another mannerism-ridden, pretentious crapvat: that highschool pregnant girl movie...ah...Juno! that's the other one.

Hopefully, its failure at the box office will stamp out the director's self-perceived "quirky charm."

reply

"Epic fail" works as well.

reply

Hauntingly beautiful. So many visual and verbal quotations that kept me hooked throughout the entire film. Not a movie for everyone so to each their own.

reply

*beep* boring
