Why all the hate for a movie that doesn't exist?

As someone who grew up with Ace, I can firmly say that I love everything about the series and the character. That said, why is everyone complaining about this? It's not real. There are two great classic comedies, a silly TV show, and that's it. Nothing else. There was no movie about Ace's son. IT DIDN'T HAPPEN. The fact that people are supporting that notion with an IMDb page dedicated to this non-existent movie is laughable. Because any true fan of Ace Ventura knows that an atrocity such as this could never be real, and to even acknowledge its false "existence" is nothing but sheer blasphemy.

So I ask... why all the hate? It's not like it's real.

It's called denial. Like I said, this movie never happened. Doesn't exist.

Does a movie still exist if one has never seen it?
