SPOILERS::
Basically Michael reads the records into what happend to Carrie after the fire. Basically she finds out that her 'mother' was in fact the case worker that rescued her from the childrens home after the accident. She finds out that in fact she is Carrie and goes about reuniting with her real parents.
The end of the film is with Ash and Michael's daughter Annie getting some handprints in plaster next to her mums.
its a great film and its disappointing that they didint do a second one.
