Playing in New Orleans this week

I saw this over the weekend at the Zeitgeist Multi-Disciplinary Arts Center (http://www.zeitgeistinc.net/); it's playing through Thursday. Well worth seeing, especially if you're a jazz fan. She may have been the last active singer from the pre-WWII big band era, performing into the 2000s. I didn't know much about her other than the fact that she'd sung with the early Stan Kenton band in the '40s, before June Christy.
