The Guy who takes on 100 Women Wins the $1,000,000

I heard he does really well on a blog from someone that's seen the Battle of the Sexes ep, the woman apparently loses all of her money, and the ad I just saw said someone wins the million dollars.

You heard it here first, the Man takes down the entire female mob tomorrow night.

He just says the guy does good enough to "make history", which could mean he takes down all the women, except like, one or something, but unless I completely heard the NBC promo wrong, they said one of the 2 contestants wins the million.

I'm glad to see him win.

It said on tv.com under the episode under notes that someone would win the million dollar. I cant believe it!!

reply

Yeah, that dude was SUCH a nice guy, I think at the end the women were actually PULLING for him to win. lol

I just saw it. Is this the first person to do it? Lol...and it was against only women.

Aw, man, it's Nazi Germany, and I've got Playboys in my locker!

I knew that out of Deal or No Deal, 5th Grader and 1 vs. 100, someone would win the million on 1 vs. 100 first. Congrats to him!

I'll have spent one day out there.

reply

Yeah. That episode rocked. It is about time someone won the million. It doesn't look like someone will ever win the million on Deal or No Deal because they pick the wrong cases or they panic whenever their case has the million. It is great to see 1 vs 100 kick off the season with a million dollar winner. By the way did they change a few things about the game? It felt different.

Thanks for the link. : )

Still waiting to see this episode here on the West Coast. I do have an NBC station from Detroit on my digital TV box, but they did not air the episode. The executives there apparently thought that a one-hour special about a local auto show was more interesting than the first million-dollar win in "1 vs. 100" history.
And you wonder why the WGA threw a hissy fit. : )

Haven't seen the episode yet, but judging by the trailer NBC aired back in December, the money tree is brand new, and the contestant advances to the next level of the tree for every ten Mob members he or she eliminates.

I have an irrelevant question, what would have happened if he was WRONG on that last one, because every woman in the mob was wrong, so would he have just left with nothing, and noone in the mob would have gotten anything and noone wins anything at all?

I'm sure that the members of the mob who were still alive for the last question would have split the money.

reply

> what would have happened if he was WRONG on that last one

As stated on the show, the remaining contestants who got the question right would split the money. No one would have been left, so no one would have split his $250k.

The producer would then take the staff out for a very nice dinner.

Yes, the new format is that for every 10 people of the mob knocked out, you win money. The first 10: $1,000...the first 20: $5,000....the first 30: $10,000, then $25,000, $50,000, $75,000, $100,000, $250,000, $500,000, then the mil. So, say you've knocked out 89 mob members. You are still stuck at $250,000, one shy of qualifying for $500,000. Which I guess is to entice the contestant to play one more round to get that elusive one.

I think it's also designed for a really obscure question (although Friday night's were painfully easy), that if missed, could result in maybe 40 or 50 people being knocked out at once.

Though it's hilarious that the new format sort of backfired on producers, that not *ONE* woman of the 15 got the final question right. Thus qualifying the guy for the million.

No. Think carefully. Two of the options would stroke a woman's ego; Mother's Day and Valentine's Day. Obviously all women are going to pick those two answers. Similarly, a man is going to pick Christmas because he is NOT swayed by those emotions.

Yep, that's exactly what I was thinking. All those women were so cocky they immediately jump to the answers where THEY get all the gifts. Those were some greedy ladies, weren't they? lol

Well, I'd always heard the busiest day for the Postal Service was mother's day... so I assume they all went with that.

Or they had the 'they want me to say Christmas' syndrome.

reply

I thought the Greeting Card question was crazy easy for so late in the game. How many Valentine's Day cards does the average person send out? Two or three at most? Same for Mother's Day. But how many Christmas cards does the average person send out? Dozens. Plus all the cards that businesses send to customers.
