Wrong answer is right answer?

I found another thread on here where a person thought this had happened, but it turned out they had just misunderstood the question...

Well I just watched a re-run of this show, and since it was a re-run I'm not very optimistic about getting an answer, and I'm hoping I somehow misunderstood the question as well, but in the episode I just watched there was a question (obviously trying to be cute) that went something like, "If you were traveling from AZ to NE with no AC..." blah blah blah, then what direction would you be traveling? Well I must have misunderstood the question because the possible answers were SE, SW, and NE, and NE was clearly the answer, I mean, look at an effing map, but the contestant said SE, I believe, and that was the "correct" answer. It didn't matter because she was eliminated shortly thereafter, but it bothered me so much I had to look at a map just to make sure I wasn't wrong or retarded. And sure enough, if you are traveling from Arizona to Nebraska, you are traveling northeast. So am I insane?
