A remarkable film!

Saw this in the US a couple of days ago, moving and brutal. Hannes Hellman as Goering was amazing. Saw it got a BAFTA in the UK, think Hannes should be nominated for one - he is an actor that should break out of Germany and go global.

I agree that it was a well made film. It is the only film I have seen since "Judgement at Nuremberg" that gives these trials substantial backup and insight. (And I realize that was partly fictional.)

Plus, it does give some insight into Goring's character. It walks a fine line when by making Goring somewhat sympathetic and raises more questions for me about how men could commit such atrocities than most films that leave the Nazi's as unidimensional monsters.
