goong ending

are korean names arranged like chinese names wherein their surnames are written first then their first names?

i'm confused!

anyway, i love goong! i was just kinda disappointed with the ending though. i thought that after all the scandals and hysteria in the palace, chaekyung will no longer stay overseas and instead stay in korea. though her life in macau is doing well, why can't she go back in korea and just live in a private house outside the palace? and why does shin goon have to leave her, "i'm going to leave tomorrow." why can't they be together? it was sad to see the wedding with only the queen and her educator/bodyguard without her family and her friends witnessing it.

i hope that the original cast will be in goong 2 and i hope they would return in korea

Yeah I think the names are like Chinese too.

I think that the reason chaekyung stayed overseas was because she liked the freedom and learning new things in a different environment - she did say that she would like to move to Spain next to see what it was like. I think that if she did stay in a private house in Korea, life would have still been a little difficult for her, as the rumours of the reason behind their divorce and a 'second man' were probably still too recent for her to return peacefully, without people recognizing her on the street and bombarding her with questions.

I also think that the reason Shin couldn't stay was probably because he does have the job of being a prince (even though his sister is the one in charge now) and has other affairs to take care of, or needs to continue pursuing his film study in Korea. The pair probably would have moved back together in Korea after a while, after things have properly died down so it's not to worry!

But I do agree when you say that they wedding was sad. Well it wasn't sad sad, but I wished that all her friends and family were there to see it. Her father would have been great during the wedding (he was already really funny in the traditional one). I have to say though, the last episode was a bit unsatisfying: show us some intimacy! I don't think they even hugged or anything like that! Oh well...

But I don't really know what they could do if they did goong 2 (off the original one)... What kind of story could they do? They're aren't any love triangles they can do with Shin and Chaekyung, otherwise it would be too boring and a bit silly. We've already had this!

they had loads of possibilities and it was greatly discussed on the net

1.the monarchy disappears and chaekyung runs for president with shin supporting her
2.they return to korea and live together - lots of comedy
3.an alternate reality thing where chaekyung's family was the imperial family and shin's family were the commoners

anyway it doesnt matter cause they have started GoongS(season 2) with different actors and do not watch it as it is CRAP!!! you will be highly dissapointed and the view rating are going down down down. so dont!!!

this is my first time to be obessed with a telenovela and it so happened to be korean! anyway, i love the story from the beginning up to the end... the ending episodes however were a little fast paced compared to the other... what with all the scandals and stuffs, i think it came and ended so fast. i really melted when shin goon proposed to chaejkyung and told her that he wanted to marry her again not just because of the arranged marriage stuff but because he's proposing to the woman he loves. i really love the scene when shin goon found chaekyung in his car and she asked him to untie her scarf. i think it was really sweet... and the "im leaving tomorrow" part... yeah, i was kind of confused with that to. maybe it's because shin goon still got this 'un-crowned' prince responsibilities to do... and yeah, i also wish that the two of them will return to korea togehter... and yes, i also wish (with all my heart and soul!) that they will still be the playing the main characters in goong2. they really have an incredible screen chemistry... they're so convincing lovers!!!

Well Chae-kyung' and Shin got back together, Yul and his evil mother went back to England. Shin Father "the King" want to past the throne to Shin but Shin Refuse so he past the Throne to his sister and become Queen. Also Chae-kyung' and Shin renew their vows.

The end

well there setback that Chae-kyung is pregnant or not

I dunno if you guys saw the pic in the ending credits part after the last episode wherein CG and Shin was with a baby girl. The background looked like the palace so, I hope they did go back to korea cuz if they don't...well, that's just sad.

all asian names have their surnames first and first name last. My english name is June Chung but in Korean, it's pronounced Chung June. i happen to be lucky nd hav a name tha is pronounced d same in both languages =D. n e ways, jus to update... the production company of Goong, Eight Peaks, had some problems with its staff nd the director nd some other ppl left to form their own company to make d "sequel" for Goong. But instead of a sequel that continues with the original cast, everything is changed. It's no longer Princess Hours but PRINCE Hours. But Eight Peaks has d copyrights to Goong so d "sequel" to Goong had to change their name to Goong S. Bubt after the first Goong was done, they (the cast) all had agreed on d sequel so they're making d sequel to Goong; Goon 2. It's going to air late '07 ot early '08. Hopefully late this year ^-^

go to wikipedia.org and type in Goong... they'll give u more info

hello...i just want to make a comment on the latter post...not all asian names have the surnames first and the first names last. maybe most of the countries in asia, but not all of it. for example, the philippines (where princess hours became the best korean drama ever), the first name comes first and the surname/last name comes last...just a little info...most of the last names there are of Spanish origins, and also the given name, but some are of English. in the philippines, chae kyo's name is janelle and shin is gian.
