His friend Macy... horrific actress
The scenes with Macy were excruciating to watch and I know that she is totally inexperienced but I'm just saying I wanted to kill her over how terrible she was.

Have to disagree. I thought she gave a perfect portrayal of being a teenager, showing both insecurity and maturity at the same time.

shareWell, the OP is right about the obvious acting inexperience. In the first scene with the lead actor she looks at the camera. And in the follow up scene she stumbles through her dialogue and it seems as though she is reading from a cue card or waiting for a 'cue' to speak from someone off to the side. Her performance was not natural and 'real'.
shareYeah you can literally see by the way she rolled her eyes back and forth that she was too caught up with the idea of being filmed and watched by the crew and director.
Maybe she shoulda taken some acting classes BUT I mean she was a kid so perhaps she's gotten better with age. Or she's find a calling better suited for her than acting.
But yeah hiring unexperienced random people (especially kids) to act in a movie is always a great risk. One which didn't pay off in her case but I thought the lead felt natural.
Somedays you just can't dispose of a bomb.
