"But then I also doubt that gay guys are watching girl on girl stuff, at least for its erotic value."
Actually, some gay men apparently do watch lesbian porn. And sometimes it can be for erotic value, but most of the time it's obviously not. Now of course, most gay men don't watch lesbian porn, just like most gay women don't watch male/male porn either. And the ones who do, are not watching it to be turned on per se, they watch it because lesbian porn for the most part is actually quite sexist; heterosexual porn is also sexist. Gay male porn on the other hand is filled with more passion and respect and I think the gay women who watch that are more aware of that so they prefer to watch that. But like I said, most gay women don't watch it, obviously because there would be no point since lesbians are not attracted to men. Of course this movie pretty much upset MOST lesbians, for obvious reasons. It was pretty bad with what Jules did, and pretty much confirmed that she was actually bisexual, even though she continues to claim she's "gay", yeah right. A lot of my lesbian friends hated this movie, and I don't blame them.
But seriously though, why do you, (or anyone) think it's different with gay men? Every time someone mentions how a gay women does something people say, "I doubt gay men do that" or when a gay man does something, people also say, "I doubt gay women do that". Homosexual men and women, are really no different from each other, as in they are not attracted to the opposite sex, they only like the same sex. So why the hell do people assume whatever one gender that's a homosexual does something people automatically assume the other gender doesn't do that. That's kind of ridiculous. How about this, the way that you personally felt about the movie (whatever that would be) would you still have the same feelings if the film was opposite. Meaning, it was about two gay men and one of them cheated on his boyfriend/husband with a woman?
