James Roselle Threw in the Towel

In the previous "Food Network Challenge: Last Cake Standing", Bronwen Weber and James Roselle had to do a 30-minute bake-off to determine which would go to the final round. His words were, "It is what it is...I wish Bronwen the best", then he slapped frosting and a few fondant circles on the cake and he "knew" he'd lost . He obviously didn't wan to be in the finale as much as Bronwen or he he didn't do his best so Bronwen would get the nod. Bronwen's cake looked so perfect it was desperate, She would've won regardless due to Roselle's lack of effort.
