All the competitions are getting ridiculous

Too many contests...every time I turn around. Food Network (Cake) Challenge using every theme imaginable, Food Network Star, Iron Chef (at least it was first though), Next Iron Chef, Chopped, Worst Cooks, All American Festivals, Throwdown, Cupcake Wars, Dinner Impossible.

Plus, Keegan on Food Network Challenge has green hair and Kerry is too mean. She nitpicks on everything...

THIS show is getting ridiculous with what they are making challenges. Roller Derby?! Is wrestling cakes next? Or better yet, a scene from a reality show.

I hate when they have the bakers run around somewhere looking for clues. Some of them are not in shape to be running.

Also - just cannot stand that new host. When she whispers to the camera a few feet from the contestant, that grating voice of hers makes me want to turn the channel.

The cake shows are not even about cake anymore. I've seen Play-do sculptures look so much better.

DoctorMcCheese, I agree with you 100%. Glad I'm not the only one who is very disappointed with the program.

I was going to e-mail the network, but you have to create an account with personal email address, other personal info., etc., so, no thanks.

Hope they read this site.

OhmsLaw, agree about the new host. What a horsey-face. She's just a brunette Vanna White.

I wish they would stop with these extreme element/ movement cakes. They usually fail miserably, which is probably why they do it. I'd rather see a beautiful cake that's not extreme than a piece of crap that has an element that moves two inches and then breaks apart.

Agree, agree, agree! This show started out with just the best looking cakes (or gingerbread houses. Do they even HAVE shows anymore with just plain, old gingerbread houses that don't move in any way?). The wild west chocolate challenge recently had some laughable "extreme" effects. The one woman's horses moved as if being pulled on strings, then flipped over, which was really comical. And the guy making cowboys out of egg shaped molds was almost insane! Although I felt sorry for him, he deserved to be ripped apart by the judges. If I was going to be on TV, you can believe I will test everything out first but this sure didn't look like it.
