*Spoiler Alert!* Great Movies deserves Great Questions *Spoiler Alert!*

Wow, another great hk crime movie to tag along with Infernal Affairs. There's one part I don't get though, why did Nick (Daniel Wu) turn the little girl's drugged father in? Nick was the one who told him to smuggle drugs. It just seemed like a such low move for Nick to do.

1st ,the guy is a total garbage who would sell his wife/daughter for money
2nd , he is responsible for jane's death
3rd, hard to tell if this guy is gonna bother his daughter in the future or taking his daughter back from Nick, so to get rid of this guy is not something you wouldn't expect

reply

Naw, it was totally justified. He killed Jane with the shot of Heroine to the neck and he woulda did bad things to the little girl under his care. He even left Jane's body to rot in the apartment and scared the living crap outta Nick (LOLz @ that scene) She was on the path toward recovery with Nick by her side. You can tell by how hopeful she felt in some of the scenes. After she dies Nick goes beserk and busts Andy Lau and everything comes crashing down.

he also said he might abuse the daughter if left alone with her. Reason enough to have him locked up in my mind...

reply

Not just locked up, but executed, right? Since the arrest takes place in Singapore? Nick really stuck it to him.

Yup... It's a mandatory death penalty in Singapore.

Wasn't Nick at the Singapore Customs with the druggie? Wasn't he fingered?

reply

He was the informant, and I guess the Singapore Customs know that.

He was the one who pointed out the boyfriend to the police at the airport, so yeah, he was definitely working with them.

Hence why they uncuffed him in the cell and let him go. In front of the soon-to-be executed schmuck.

Cold move, Nick, but not unjustified.

When darkness overcomes the heart, Lil' Slugger appears...

Yup. Good one with that. Just don't bring drugs into Singapore. Let all the would-be traffickers be warned.

reply

He was doing drugs with the girl in the house as well.
