it seems logical that most anti abor people would adovcate birth control

but they dont. why is that?

Anti-Abortion groups aren't anti-abortion, they are anti-women and anti-sex. Basically, they are Luddites who don't like the way society is so they try to capture the world in in a hypothetical way that it allegedly once was. They are trying to freeze time and morals in one place. Except this isn't the way things were. This isn't even the way things are now. It's a fictional, idealized version where everything makes sense because it's dumbed down.

They do talk to some thoughtful anti-abortion people in the film who even make some good points. Those people are the minority in their political group. The leaders of that movement are frothing at the mouth nut jobs.

Sadly, this is true of both sides.

That's a gross misrepresentation. The leaders of the pro-life movement aren't leaders of pro-life groups, per se, but are typically the heads of conservative social groups like: the Pope, bishops, pastors, scholars, journalists, philosophers, and experts from think tanks. The "frothing at the mouth nut jobs" are just more quotable.
