LAME Woody Allen wannabe film!

This film tries to be soooooo hard to be a Woody Allen film, but has none of the wit, style, humor or charm that make Allen's films successful.

All the jokes were way too forced. The main actors did not look natural or comfortable, trying to go for the easy laugh.

Sorry, I LOVE Paris... but hated this film.

It was a tribute to Woody Allen of course.
You are being too harsh.

i thought it was a lot like Woody Allen but i disagree, i don't believe it was trying too hard.
and i thought there was a lot in it that Woody Allen wouldn't put in it-- though the characters are soo like how he normally writes them. Marion could have easily been played by Diane Keaton....but i thought it was really interesting to twist in the cultural aspect of Paris. it made it fresh, and very very different from Woody's work......
ummm in short, i disagree with what you said, haha. i dont think anything was forced about this. actually one of the things i noted while watching was how natural the cast seemed together.

I just got done watching Annie Hall for the first time. This was actually my first Woody Allen movie ever, and it will be my last. The guy is annoying, whiny, pretentious, and not likable in the least. He's an unwarranted narcissist. Diane Keaton wasn't bad, but even she couldn't save the movie for me.

2 Days in Paris is better, as it's actually, you know, watchable.

When I read this comment, I started wondering if I ever registered with an alternate account on IMDb and forgot all about it.

It reminded me of Allen, right down to the glasses. I thought it was funny that Delpy said it didn't follow any other film's pattern (she even seemed kind of offended when the interviewer said it seemed like an Allen film) and that she didn't even watch comedies while making it because it's clearly Allen set in Paris.
