Best scenes / Hugh Grant

salut,
I'm interested in getting to know which scenes other people liked most in this film. My favourite one was Jack metting the American tourists for the second time (actually, there was a second scene I liked just as much, but I can't remember it, which is why I am asking here, in hope someone else mentions it...)

And I'd like to know if anyone else thought that Jack resembled Hugh Grant's standard character (I'm not sure if the German synchro was done by the guy who also dubs Grant, but if so, it might have been the reason why I constantly thought about Grant playing Jack, so I assume people who saw the original version might not see so much of a resemblence)).

Thanks in advance for any answers!

The scene with the fat cat was great. Also the father reacting to Jack's "no sleep, no sleep"which means something else in French. Jack made me think more of Ben Stiller but of course not as good. In fact Jack
was really a poor example of Americans in Paris, nobody could be that nerdy and all those tatoos just didn't fit with Julie's character which was great. Too bad Ethane Hawke wasn't with her again but i gues that's asking too much.

Yes! I loved the movie but the thing with the tattoos also bugged me and I wasn´t sure if it was just me or if anyone else thought so too! I just can´t understand how and why such a neurotical, nerdy and hipocondric character/person would have all those tattoos! If I just saw a picture of him with the tattoos, I´d imagine he was a really cool, maybe even a little detached, character, but never someone as neurotic and selfconscious as the character.

The picture of Jack naked with the ballon was hilarious.

Yes, how can a man who is preoccupied with mold, migraines and his sinuses withstand a tattoo needle? Wouldn't receiving a tattoo seem unsanitary?

I read somewhere that goldberg actually used to be julie's boyfriend and that this was based mostly on their real experiances. also the parents were her real parents and the cat was her real cat and the apartment was her real apartment. so I'm gunna go ahead and extrapolate that the tattoos were his real tattoos and that his personality was his real personality.

It annoys me when people think in stereotypes. you can have a tattoo and not be a biker. Just because you never see them doesn't mean that the guy who serves you at the bank has no tattoos. just cause someone worries about their health doesn't mean that every other aspect of their personality has to conform to what you would assume. SOME people do things because they want to not because they wish to create an image of what they want other people to think they are.

I just saw the film. The only thing i didn't like about Jack was the smoking. Everyone seems to get a tattoo these days, but smoking is out. Especially for someone with supposed allergies.
There were so many great scenes it would be hard to pick a favorite. I loved the scenes with Marion trying to calm Jack in English while arguing violently with Parisians in French. All the scenes with Julie's parents were fantastic. The fat cat scene was hilarious.

To me the best scene was when they were on the subway and the guy just kept getting in their faces and Jack just kept trying to stare back at the guy, the face he made was priceless, idk y but that one really got to me.

remember your unique, just like everyone else!!!

My favourite scenes were the ones in the different Taxi's, especially the racist driver - the whole scene was just so funny, albeit incorrect.
