Where is the Canadian military in all this?

I don't think Canada was overrun, based on what I've read of the plot. So in theory Canada should still be able to help, I mean it fought throughout World War II.

according to the resistance wiki, canada got overrun shortly before the aliens attacked the u.s., mostly because it looks like the president withheld some important information from the canadian government and also refused to assist in any way.
