Why is the Mall Santa Black?

This isn't about being racist or anything, but wouldn't the majority of kids be like "WTF Santa's not black" Almost every form of media featuring santa claus shows him as an old, fat, white guy, not a skinny black guy. Ps This movie was complete *beep*
