I remember an Amber Alert that hit very close to home....

In 1999 my husband and our four year old daughter moved into a new neighborhood in Irving, TX. The day we moved in an Amber Alert went out about Christy Rhyno. She was a four year old twin, sleeping on the couch in her parent's home a few blocks away from our new home. Scared the crap out of me. Really scary though the police came to our house the next day and questioned me while my husband was at work. One of our new neighbors reported seeing us with Christy. My daughter was actually napping and I allowed the policemen into her room to look at her. She was the same height roughly and had the same color hair. The police knew it was not her. When my daughter woke up all I could do was hold her and be thankful. We lived there for a few years and I never knew which neighbor called but I also never cared. If my daughter were missing, I would want everyone looking for her too! Sadly to this day Christy Ryno's murder (they found the body) has never been solved.
