Must the Asian guy be the one who's sexually impotent? Again?

Seriously this is the most overplayed stereotype in hollywood ever! It's almost comical how often and how blatant hollywood is about this.

reply

It is?, can't honestly say it is that obvious to me but then being Caucasian I probably would not notice it as much as an Asian person is. TRy being English and see what the Hollywood morons make of that when it comes to stereotypes!

reply

May I remind all of you that it wasn't Hollywood who made the asian guy impotent, but the chinese AUTHOR!! the woman who wrote the book wrote it with an impotent chinese guy!

reply

hollywood has nothing to do with this film. it was produced in germany.

reply

Who said it had? I am more than aware who was involved in making it, I was merely giving an example of how Asians are not the only race/people stereotyped or whatever by movies. In my example it was Hollywood and the English so the Asians are not alone. I guess though it is always the perogative of the non-white-westerner to claim that they are always the ONLY ones who are hard done by or picked on..nobody else get's that treatment do they of course:-)

reply

The official website of the movie said it was produced in Germany. if you were more than aware as you claim, you would not have questioned it.

reply

WTF are you on about, I know damm well it was German production and never said otherwise? I was merely replying to a poster who stated that Hollywood portrays Asians in Cinema badly but should be weighed against what is portrayed against white people, black people and every one else. I never said to was a Hollywood film?

So what are you on about?
