I hate to say it...

I really, really hate to say it, but

this was one of the few movies (2-3) I have EVER turned OFF halfway through

perhaps I was too tired, but it just didn't do anything for me...and that's a comment I don't say lightly!! (I'm both a screenwriting and film festival judge)

I know the director reads these boards and I commend you (him) on doing what you did on such a small budget and would love to see any future projects, and who knows, I might give The Planet a 2nd look.

(reading some of the rave reviews made me second guess my initial feelings)

You couldn't get through 70 minutes and you're a festival judge? Which festivals? Short ones I imagine.

In my opinion 'The Planet' is not without it's problems, but most people manage to struggle though it, even the ones who hated it. But if you were 'too tired' there is very little any director can do about that. I also can't help if you wear a bucket over yer head or stuff jam into your ears while watching.

My follow up film, 'One Day Removals' sorted out a lot of these problems and is a bit of a festival fav. We premiered at Raindance and we've done quite a few festivals since then, most recently in Canada where our distributor is based. We love Canada! Details here:
