I haven't seen this yet so anyone out there who has seen it and has played the great sport of rugby (like myself) I propose this question; does "Forever Strong" give us a film portraying rugby in all its parts and emotions or is it another inspirational football movie that has taken on rugby to create a sense of individuality?
I wouldn't go that far. It was a bit formulaic, especially the way the championship game ended. They had a perfectly good opportunity and end it the way a rugby movie should have ended and instead they ended it just like 3/4 of American football movies end. You'll see what I mean if you watch it, and I recommend you do, despite my minor disappointment.
The rugby wasn't too bad but it wasn't great. The way the choaches and fans acted was terrible it was like they were on the side of a football field. There was a lot of plays which usually wouldn't go through. the movie is very cheesey though, when I was getting really sad the guys started making some speech whch ended up making me laugh beacause it was too cheesey. If youare going to watch it don't do it solely for the rugby though as there isn't much of it and it is a bitdissapointing
