I'm confused...
How can Rick play for a high school team if he doesn't go to that school? Wouldn't he not be eligible unless he were to transfer schools?
shareI think there weren't high school teams, but an organization that anyone can try out for... like a state rugby team.
shareIn Utah, rugby is a "club" sport, rather than a school-sponsored sport. (Hockey is the same way.) Because Larry Gelwix was teaching seminary (elective religious classes) at Highland High when he started the Rugby program, and because he started it with boys from Highland, they called it Highland Rugby. But kids from other schools can play for the team (then (whenever "then" was in the movie) and now).
Good question, though.
