haka

as a new zealander, i can tell you that we are sick of our own rugby teams performing it. back in the day, it was something unique that no other rugby or sparts teams did, but now it's become too overdone. it's all about posing, and being the big tough badarse. back in the late 1980s and early 90s, buck shelford, sean fitzpatrick, zinny brooke, mike brewer, etc, those guys performed a bloody good haka, and they had the rugby playing skills to back it up! which is the big problem with todays NZ players, when they do the haka, they think they're hot *beep* but all they are is cold fart.

I think you are wrong there.I don't think its about trying to be tough, but more about honoring the culture and performing the war dance in a way the Maori would do themselves. The older renditions of the haka by the All Blacks looked far more tame in comparison and in my opinion, and did not create that sense of awe it does today.

Speak for yourself buddy, as a Kiwi rugby follower I am always delighted to see the All Blacks perform the haka. The ABs are one of the top rugby teams in the world and have been for a very long time, your comments about the current top players' abilities sound rather ignorant.

I agree with dolly ABs are the best had two relatives play with the mighty All Blacks proud of of Maori heritage
