This must be the worst movie I've ever seen. The acting was terrible, people were freaking getting eaten alive and everyone remained in a calm and cool mood, what the hell? Special effects? No comment.

shareSFX were awful, but the simple fact that this was played straight and didn't feature over-the-top outrageous camp and uber-ridiculous plot automatically made it better than "Spiders". It was better than the silly comedy "Eight-Legged Freaks" too!

This movie is really bad, but not the worst ever. The worst ever is "Skeleton Man". Of course we're talking a tiny margin of "worseness"!

YOU'RE MAD!! Skeleton Man is one of the greatest movies in Sci-Fi channel picttures originals' history. How can you possibly say that? It is my favourite movie from Sci-Fi all-time. You just don't know how to appreciate Sci-Fi movies. Skeleton Man was put together with recklessness but it came out perfect in the end.
I normally wouldn't call a movie "worst ever", but I have to admit I'm close to completely agreeing with you. I think Attack of the Killer Tomatoes or Plan 9 from Outer Space is better. Do all SciFi channel movies suck? I've tried to watch a few recently and the production and acting is laughable. Nothing original. They aren't even B- Movies or qualify for good cheesy camp. They're just plain bad! This movie is awful, the script is awful, the acting is awful, the effects...I can't type any more. It ain't worth it. WTF?!

I completely agree . Of course there are better movies , but this wasn't THAT bad . I actually enjoyed it ( lots of deaths , decent gore , okay story ) . People act like they turn on Sci-Fi on Sat. night expecting big budget masterpieces . Grow up and turn the channel if you don't like it ...

I agree . More of the soldiers should have died (not Calabro) . And the main skier kid should have bitten the dust . At least they left an opening for ICE SPIDERS 2 !
shareNo, you're wrong. Go to Best Buy and find one of those boxes with 50 SciFi movies for about $30. You will find dozens of flicks that make Ice Spiders look like Acadamy Award stuff. However I believe that I would rather spend a night in a closed room with a puddle of fresh vomit than to watch "Solid Water Arachnids" again.

it was the worst acting and out of place personalities i've seen in a movie, i havent seen that many but im starting to watch more and more bad ones. i enjoy putting myself through 1-2 hours of torture, to then complain for neverending hours about them.
shareThere's no getting around the fact that the movie is absolutely horrible. I don't agree that it's the worst movie ever made as I've seen Hardware and I just watched Crank 2, but it's pretty darn bad. HOWEVER, if my little 15 yr old cousin had of made this with a home movie camera and 3D Studio Max v.2 in his basement, then it would automatically skyrocket into the acceptable category. As a real production, it's almost unwatchable, definitely laughable. As it is, Sy-Fy movies are now banned from my tv.
If you'd like to know which I consider the worst Sci-Fi movie, I'd have to say MegaShark vs. Giant Octopus and I'd say the best was Wyvern. Wyvern, while pretty bad in terms of how real movies go, isn't half bad in term of how Sci-Fi channel movies go. The FX were even decent at times, though fell apart as poorly composited at many others. Ice spiders didn't even bother using textures or radiosity and I would of literally believed them more if I saw an idiot in a suit dangling cardboard cutouts by strings in front of my tv. I'm surprised the 3D artists actually remembered to turn on shadow rendering. Hands down the worst FX I've ever seen in my life. Just embarrassing.
I don't understand who makes the decisions to produce and air such terribly produced material. Perhaps the channel executives wish to be known as the cheap knock-off channel and the ones notorious for the worst content in recent memory. It seems strange given that most of the series they produce are quite well received whereas it's almost universal every time they produce a film that it's just a huge turd flopping around in a punchbowl.
Ice Twisters was no bargain either. I don't know what is so compelling about ice. What next? Ice Sharks?
