It's almost the same plot except that instead of Groundhog Day, it's Christmas instead.

Dude, "Groundhog Day" was loosly based on the book "Christmas Everyday", by William Dean Howells from 1892.

Guess what book Christmas Everyday and Christmas Do-Over is based on. ;)
