Jesus?!

Sorry this is really annoying me - has noone else noticed that "Jesus Henderson"should actually be "Joseph Henderson" - Jesus and Mary didnt have a baby boy...sorry to nit pick but it really annoyed me....

no-one else then??

reply

Yeah.I've noticed that Joseph is called Jesus by several other cast members.Even in the credits the actor Jacob Chambers is called Jesus Henderson.Surely this is one of the more serious goofs in cinema history?

reply

I'm honestly shocked its not been mentioned before...

honestly, these things annoy me a bit too much I think!

reply

I can't believe that out of the whole cast and crew, no one caught this mistake.

reply

erm - wasn't the character playing a grown up Jesus? If you see the nativity scene, there is a Mary, Joseph and a grown up Jesus.

reply

Why have a 'grown up'Jesus in the Nativity scene?

reply

Lol, that is so true. Why is there a grown up Jesus? Traditionally it's always a baby Jesus portrayed in the nativity scene, isn't it?

reply

It wasn't just a nativity scene, it was more like a Christmas collage. There was a Mary, a Joseph, and a bay Jesus that Mary held. Standing off to the side was the grown Jesus. He didn't participate in the scene, he was just standing there. It's like a group of stained-glass windows, the nativity scene was one window, and grown-up Jesus was another, both sharing the same stage.

If you didn't look closely though, you wouldn't notice baby Jesus OR Joseph.

So, that really was Jesus, NOT Joseph. There was no fluke. Just a stupid display that you have to look closely at to get. :\

reply

yea i just noticed that and thought it was annoying too

reply

We noticed the same thing

reply

No, that was Jesus. Joseph was also there, the fellow without the beard.

You might wonder why an adult Jesus was present at the Nativity. It's because an idiot slugging it out with Jesus is supposed to be funnier than an idiot slugging it out with Joseph. There was nothing funny in this entire movie.

I have a new philosophy. I'm only going to dread one day at a time.

reply

Just further proof that the average hollywood writer/producer/director is completely out of touch... and further more, they could care less!!!
Let's make a "Christmas" movie, which is a "Christian" holiday, but let's not give a crap whether or not the script accurately represents Christian beliefs or what is written in the Bible. LAME!!!!

reply

I just saw the movie again on Saturday. It does have some funny parts and I like the cast. I also noticed the adult Jesus at the nativity scene. There was a baby Jesus because Mary tossed him to someone (a wise man?) before she jumped into the fracas. Being so this was an ABC Family movie, I thought the whole fight scene was odd. However, the garbage ABC Family shows now is more aimed at kids that don't have parental supervision anyway.

reply

I found the fight scene funny. When grandma said: watch out for Jesus or here comes Jesus, was hillarious. And when he first punched santa, was funny too

reply

I thought this movie was very funny. I have to laugh at some of the over the top reactions by previous posters. Talk about having no sense of humor...
