Skins season 7 (RISE/SPOILERS)

I honestly hated Fire i like to think it never happened and Pure was ok mainly because Cassie is too weak of a character to be cast alone on her own ''show'' and for us that have hopes on Sid showing up and he never does, it's just her the whole thing and you can't stop to think when someone from the 1st series is gonna show but nah ...

Now about Rise, it's by far the best out of the three and was very well done it actually brought closure to one of our favorites characters James Cook i was very satisfied with it buuuuut it could've been way better:

1-I think that every one of us that watched skins comming to season 7 we're hoping to see closure that is i wanted to see someone crying or remembering Freddie Mclair but we don't get that at all it's like he never existed... i really think they should have made Cook carry a picture of him or meeting with JJ i mean anything just needed to make a moment to mention him.

2-So our character clearly ignores his past he tries to look away but the truth is only at the end he comes in terms with his life by narrating that speech i really like to think after getting out of there he would come to find Effy (it would be the best if it was portrayed as he knew where she was since the start of Rise but was hesitant to go see her) and be with her once that she no longer reminds him of Freddie and Foster as he accepted what happened as he no longer ''lives on the edge of things watching life go by''.

3-This is a small one but i really liked the idea i seen somewhere that Cook would happen to sell drugs to his dad and he would completely ignore him as he was just nobody deal him and leave, bringing a very strong reinforcement of our character specially as he is portrayed to be ''over'' the past but not really.

Yeah, series 7 was really poor on the whole. I really dont get why Jamie Brittain seemed to want to make the show the most depressing thing on tv. and i hated that they killed Esther Smith's character in Rise. I really wanted cook to have a happy ending

The entire 7th series was just too bleak for my taste. Not everything has to be a depressing situation. It's too bad Cassie's story was so weak because she was the one of the three stories that has a proper "nice" ending but to be real all that Sid/Cassie build up just for them to cast him aside as an nameless ex-boyfriend in Pure was BS. Honestly, none of the 7th series seemed like a continuation of the show at all.

All in all, S7 was crap. Fire was garbage. Pure was 'meh', and Rise was entertaining, if silly. What a sorry way for a once great show to go out. To me, Richard breaking the 4th wall and saying "Bye" was Skins' proper ending.
