confusing description of series,railway questions

PLOT SPOILERS PLOT SPOILERS PLOT SPOILERS PLOT SPOILERS

I liked the first series of this but the way this is displayed on IMDB is confusing.

There are 2 series called FIVE DAYS but there is no connection between the 2 other than the format, indeed to add to the confusion there is a series called HUNTER which is a spin off of FIVE DAYS.

I bought the dvd of the 2 FIVE DAYS recently and am watching the second one now.

I have not seen it before and so far I am not impressed by the plot, the acting is fine.

I work in the railway industry,in stations not on train, but it seems to me that the scenes involving the person hit by the train were not 100 per cent correct.

The guard would have contacted the driver right away when delayed and would have went to see the injured person right away.
He would have made an emergency call to the signal centre to summon help and to ensure that all trains were stopped.
The guard would then speak to his control and tell them what happened, they would arrange for the driver to be met by a manager as soon as possible.
Sometimes the driver feels able to drive on to the next station but often they need to be replaced on the spot.
The guard would place explosive signals on the line just in case the signals don't stop any following trains.
The passengers are not allowed of the train because there is a danger of being hit by another train, even if there is no danger from other trains the tracks and embankments are not safe to walk on.
No train company would want the driver to go home alone, they would try to escort them home and get family to meet them if at all possible.

The guard is supposed to tell the passengers what has caused the delay, but of course they have to try not to upset people.
It is correct that he would ask if there were any railway staff on the train to help the situation.
Incidents such as this show why it is a good idea to have drivers and guards on all or most trains,if the driver is unable to function due to shock or injury who tskes charge of the situation if there is no guard?
It is also a good idea that rail staff get free or cheap travel so as to be around to help in such situations, which occur many more times than the general public realise.

I know it is only a tv show but I think that the most railway staff would react better than the staff shown in this drama.

In any case the police take over the scene and try to decide if the death is suspicious or not.
The BTP,BRITISH TRANSPORT POLICE would be in charge of the incident.
Trains would be re routed or cancelled and an alternative plan would be put into operation.
Sadly fatalities are common and the industry is well used to dealing with them.
The way the staff are shown in this makes them look not very professional,we get trained a lot in emergency situations, guards more than station staff, drivers more than guards, every 12 weeks we have a safety training day and we have to pass exams every 2 years.
