I picked up this movie at the library last week. Never heard of it and didn't know what to expect. Heck, I didn't even pay attention to the fact that it was subtitled (which doesn't bother me since I have a pretty big collection of foreign films). It ended up being a really fun movie. I may have to watch it again just to catch all of the pop culture remarks made. LEEROY JENKINS!
shareit's 14 months since your post, but i just watched this, through my local library network (massachusetts usa) and had a BLAST!! What fun! It reminded me of the sense of humor in Buffy the Vampire Slayer (film) and the film I finally saw and enjoyed last night, Nurse Betty.And while this fantasy world is pretty unfamiliar to me, I enjoyed the in-jokes that I did catch, and the writer/director's tip of the hat to other directors and films. Now i have to see what else this director and writer have done.
