The actors in this are annoying.......

Does anyone else find the kid in this movie REALLY annoying? The mom acts really snobby and she babies her kid too much. The dad is totally clueless and does nothing about it. The "manny" thing is absolutely ridiculous. Who in the world would let someone live with them like that without a criminal background check? And........the part where they are at the amusement park are we really supposed to think that the mom does not hear or see Charlie beating the crap out of Tony? And where are all the others at the park?

This movie had potential but the actors are flat and the ending is really unbelieveable.

Yeah but I thought Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen were ugly babies and annoying kids. Apparently not too many others did, so what the heck do I know...

LOL! This film wasn't all that great and I agree with you. No one would let this guy just come in without so much of a background check. And as soon as creepy things started happening, which the dad noticed, I would have fired the guy asap if I were the dad or the mom.

The guy had stolen someone else's identification, and letter of reference. Because of this they had every reason to believe that the manny was Charlie, so when they ran the background check (the cops, family, or agency runs the name and social security number given to them by the application) it came up clean. If they had run his finger prints they would have known it wasn't the same guy, but speaking as a nanny myself, nobody does finger print checks.

I think you are missing the point. The kid is so ugly and annoying so you feel sympathetic towards the killer. I sure did. This family was begging for some fixin' :)

LOL. That, Honestabe44, was hysterical.

I agree with almost everything everyone had to say in this thread. It was an interesting premise for a movie, but it was poorly done.

I didn't think the kid was "ugly" and in fact he might even have been reasonably cute if he wasn't overweight. They should have either made him lose the weight, or they should have chosen a cuter kid for the role.

The most annoying part of the movie to me, was at the very beginning when the mother was playing the 'stranger game' with the boy. If some kid was screaming for help, it would launch me into adrenalin over-drive and immediately cause me to come to his defense. If I discovered it was all some demented game that caused me to become upset for nothing, I'd be looking to lay a royal beating on somebody. The two lady's in that scene who blew their whistles, smiled when they found out it was just a test - as thought it were some pleasant, harmless joke. How unreal. How ridiculously insane. I believe people who think that sort of activity is constructive and worthwhile, have completely lost their minds.
