Lynn and Kyle's relationship?
I just assumed they were brother and sister but i guess not according to the FAQ...

shareNo I'm sure that they are boyfriend and girlfriend, he calls her honey when he goes to tell her Monix is joining the tropics. Don't know many brothers who call their sisters honey but I may be wrong!!
sharethey were partners.. the whole joke was supposed to be that he was so enamoured with morik that it got him off that his woman was doing his hero...
shareYeah they were bf/gf. He called her honey...and when Monix (or whatever his name was) came by their house he mentioned Kyle as her boyfriend.
Pretty poorly executed though. The whole reason she didnt want to be with Monix was because he cheated on her, not because she had a boyfriend?? Ok...
I love Maura Tierney though
Unless her name was Honey.
shareHa, my wife said that they were brother and sister, whereas I just assumed that they were boyfriend and girlfriend.
I think the part where Kyle started watching them was pretty funny if they were partners, but a bit sick if they were actually brother and sister!
Cheers for clearing that one up.
Lynn is a pretty unlikable character in a movie that's supposed to be a comedy.
shareWoody's character was really unpleasant too. It genuinely bothered me when they were caught having sex and then inexplicably chew out the boyfriend.
The whole movie overall is just really poorly executed and loses momentum quickly.
I think this is another example of how it tried to be like Slap Shot. A few of the characters in that movie did some very unlikeable things...but, you couldn't help but like them anyways. Semi Pro wasn't even close in creating such characters.
shareLet me start by saying I am a big fan of Tierney but indifferent to Harrelson.
I found Monix to be a thoroughly unlikeable character and I certainly didn't sympathise or relate to him at all.
Lynn I found just slightly more likeable - but that all went out the window with the 'couch' scene.
I agree that it was hard to enjoy the movie when all of the characters (except Jackie) were basically unlikeable.
I thought Woody Harrelson as Ed Monix was a straight man in "Semi-Pro".
I figured that she was lazy and needed a place to live rent free so she moved in with him.
