Bart (Dabney Coleman)

Is Dabney Coleman's character dead? I know he refused treatment but I don't remember him dying. Most of the people in the diner are ghosts of transplant donors who disappear when real people come in and talk with Treat. In the latest episode when his ex and daughter come in and invite themselves to breakfast with him - Dabney disappears, along with everyone else seated at the counter.

I think it is safe to say, that he is dead in the show.

no, not dead, but I agree, it's very confusing :)

that WAS pretty confusing, however, he was alive in that scene. He actually got up to pay the bill...(cornball, but they needed to get Treat alone in the scene.) He makes reference to taking Janet (his wife) to Ireland....that is gonna be a twist toward the end...keep watching.

yeah...since I posted the query, subsequent episodes cleared it up. Didn't remember him getting up to pay the bill though...I must have blinked.

On another note; can't believe last night was the season finale already!!!!!
